Regardt is an acclaimed South African film and television director who has garnered a Medal of Honour from the South African Academy for Science and Art for his outstanding and innovative work in television in 2012. He was also awarded the special Ischia Global Award for his ‘extraordinary films and contribution to the art industry’ at the seventh Annual Ischia Global Film & Music Fest in 2009 alongside Sting. In first Century Jewish law, a felon, after conviction and sentence, still had the opportunity to plead for mercy. If any testimony in mitigation on behalf of the convict should be presented, it would be considered, and judgment might be altered accordingly. Even when the convicted person was taken to the place of execution, he or she still had a chance of redemption.At the city gate a flag bearer would signal any worthy testimony in mitigation by lifting the RED FLAG and so alert a rider on horseback, who would follow the procession to the place of execution. The Son (In Development)
As the nation prepares for Passover, a group of Jewish zealots plan to free their brothers from the Tower Fortress, before the arrival of Pontius Pilate from Caesarea. One of these zealots, Baruch, kills a roman guard in the process.
However, the body is soon discovered, and the breach dealt with before the zealots manage to free their compatriots. Baruch and a wounded Asaf manage to escape, but Ziba is caught.
Asaf succumbs to the pain and alerts the Roman guards with his groaning. They tie him to a horse and drag him mercilessly to the fortress leaving Baruch distraught. Read more ...
